Access
How to find Domaine de la Thiau ? On your navigator, ask for “La Grande Thiau” or “La Thiau”, city : Briare. The estate is just in between Gien and Briare (4km each) on D.952. Easy access.
From Paris : Leave Paris on the A.6 in the direction of Lyon. After Nemours, take A.77 to Nevers until you reach the Briare exit. Go right here onto the D.952 to Gien. You will find the Domaine de la Thiau halfway to Gien, signposted by the “Centre Auto ” shop.
From Orleans : Take the N.60 eastwards direction Montargis or Chateauneuf-sur-Loire. Here you turn off right onto the D.952 to Gien. Take the deviation around Gien to get back on D.952 to Briare. After the last roundabout down the hill, drive just 1 km and the Domaine will be on your right, signposted after “La Petite Thiau” and before the “Centre Auto ” shop.
From Auxerre : Direction Toucy and Saint Fargeau. After the little village of Thou, take the A.77 in the direction of Paris. Exit at Briare. You will encounter 2 roundabouts, each time take the direction to Gien. After the 2d one, drive only 2km on D952 and the Domaine will be on your left after the “Centre Auto ” shop, signposted on the road.
From Nevers or Montargis : Leave the N.7 at Briare. You will encounter 3 roundabouts, each time take the direction to Gien. After the 3d one, drive only 1km on D952 and the Domaine will be on your left after the “Centre Auto ” shop, signposted on the road.
From Bourges : Across the river Loire by the old bridge, direction Gien centre ville. At the traffic lights after the bridge, turn right direction Briare, drive just 4 km and the Domaine will be on your right, signposted after “La Petite Thiau” and before the “Centre Auto ” shop.
